What do we do in the event of inclement weather?

Please contact the studio for a recorded message about closing. If we cancel class for any weather-related reasons, we will send home a make-up schedule at the next scheduled  dance class. WE WILL POST CLOSINGS ON THIS WEB SITE ASAP. Tune into to TV Channel WSOC for bulletins.

Are the students allowed to bring drink or food?

No food, drink or gum is allowed in the studio. We have a snack area for students /parents on the run. You may have snack, drinks, etc and do homework in this area only!

What about parent observation?
Parent visiting days are listed in our yearly calendar located in our student/parent handbook!

How do we keep informed on up coming events?

Newsletters are sent home on a regular basis with your child, giving up-to-date infromation on current happenings around the studio. This is the most efficient way to keep you informed. It is the parent’s responsibility to check with the child’s teacher or office for memos that were missed.

What if I’m late picking up my child?
At the end of class, students will be taken to the front door of the studio. Those students under the age of 10 will not be allowed to cross the parking lot without a parent. Tis is for their safety. The parent will have ten minutes to pick up their child after class dismissal, the student will then be asked to wait inside the individual studio until the parent arrives. Please notify the student’s teacher if someone other than a parent will be picking up our child

What if my child loses an item?

Lost and Found items will be put in cubbies, please check them on a monthly basis. All items left after a month will go to Goodwill.

Is the studio closed when school is closed?

We draw up our own calendar for any holiday or special closings. This calendar is printed in the Student /Parent Handbook and then confirmed in our monthly newsletter.

What community activities are we involved in?

Fancy Feet is involved in Parades, Festivals such as Matthews Alive.” Performances include retirement facilities, schools and local charity and foundations events. We go to local schools for Career Week and choreograph for school pageants and theatrical performances. Fancy Feet also proudly supports the local Scouts by helping them receive their “Dance” badge.

Does Fancy Feet have birthday parties?

Yes. We provide a Birthday Party service that can be scheduled by calling the studio and speaking with Miss Paula. (Director). More details can be given to you at that time.
